From the doctoral thesis my lines of research were related to the self-production of low-cost housing, its financing through cooperatives and the use of alternative technologies for its construction. From this I have done research with blocks of compressed earth BTC, for construction of walls and roofs and panels from the reuse of waste, reviewing the thermal behavior inside the spaces. I have also developed research on the use of bamboo for light construction, natural roofs and family gardens. With the acquisition of SimaPro software I have conducted research on environmental impacts of conventional construction materials VS alternative materials. He recently participated in a CONACYT project on technification of materials for Huasteca housing.
