He is a Mechanical Engineer graduated from the School of Engineering at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, graduaed in 2004 with honors. He completed a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering with a specialty in the Automation of Optimal Design of Materials and Structures, at the University of Notre Dame, USA; graduating in August 2010. In August 2010 he joined the School of Engineering of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, and in the period from 2016 to 2020 he served as Coordinator of the Mechatronics Engineering program.

Among the activities currently carried out are: teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, advisor of undergraduate and graduate theses, technical consultancy with companies in the region, and development of research in the areas of: Automation and Design Optimization. Structural Optimization Robust design. Development of flexible mechanisms. Modeling and Simulation of Shape Memory Alloys.
