de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social (CIESAS)
Occidente. Master in Regional Development from the Colegio de la Frontera Norte
(COLEF). Graduate in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de
Baja California (UABC). Her research areas are focused on gender studies,
violence, youths, sense of humor, gender and writing, educative and religious
processes and decoloniality. She has published on various national and
international journals, and also on compilation books. She has coordinated
books about violence, cultural processes, gender and research on Social and
Human Sciences. She is co-author of the book “Todos somos diferentes pero aquí en la escuela somos iguales”
(UASLP-Plaza y Valdés, 2012). She is author of the books Las instituciones de educación superior y la violencia de género (UASLP-Eón,
2017); Identidad, mediaciones y radio
indígena (Fragua, e-book format, 2014). Before dedicating herself to
academic work, she was productor and host of university radio programs,
cultural promoter and film club coordinator at UABC campus Mexicali. Currently,
she is professor and researcher at the Facultad de Ciencias de la Comunicación
of the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (UASLP). She is a member of the
Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, Level II. She defines herself as an
Anthropologist who also studied Communication.
