gci@uaslp.mxDr. Maldonado studied in the career of pharmaceutical biologist at the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí. Subsequently, he entered the Potosino Institute of Scientific and Technological Research to pursue a Master's in Molecular Biology and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at the Division of Molecular Biology in the Proteomics and Biomedicine Laboratory. During his postgraduate studies, he conducted a research stay at the Department of Medicinal Plant Resources at Andong National University in South Korea, under the supervision of Dr. Hyung Jin Jeong. He was awarded first place in the National Prize for Food Science and Technology in the Professional Category in Food Science. Currently, he is affiliated with the Multidisciplinary Academic Unit of the Zona Media at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, conducting research in microbial biotechnology and the study and development of nutraceutical foods.
