I am an early career academic whose research interests are situated at the intersections of public health and the social sciences - in particular, sociology, psychology and anthropology. I have been working on issues related to kidney disease in Mexico for the past four years, particularly in relation to the role of health professionals and the practices of healthcare. Much of this work has been qualitative in character. And drawing stronger connections with previous work I have done on social insurance and welfare in Mexico. I am particularly interested in ethnographic fieldwork and anthropological forms of analysis.
