I studied the Electronic Engineering Degree (2000-2005) at the Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Irapuato, and the Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Mechanical Engineering (FIMEE) of the University of Guanajuato (2005-2007). Subsequently I studied the Doctorate in the  Centro de Investigación y Estudios de Posgrado de la Facultad de Ingeniería (CIEP-FI)  of the UASLP.

I carried out research stays in Finland at the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT), and in Italy, at the Bioengineering Department of the Polytechnic of Milan.
