gci@uaslp.mxProfessor with the Biomedical Engineering program from the Faculty of Science - UASLP. My course lectures include Programming, Signals and Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Numerical Methods, and Biomedical Instrumentation.
My research interests involve biomedical signal and image processing, biomedical instrumentation, as well as mobile health applications, all of them aimed to develop and employ systems and computational algorithms to extract information from physiological systems that could benefit the general population on a daily basis. In particular, my ongoing research projects involve:
- Mobile health applications for computerized analysis of respiratory sounds
- Vital signs monitoring via optical and acoustical signals recorded from smartphones
- Mono- and multichannel systems for biomedical signals acquisition and processing
