gci@uaslp.mxThrough my research, I have tried to influence new conceptualizations, methodological schemes and the use of tools and techniques to make applied research more consistent, useful and realistic. The field of knowledge is very dynamic, especially in the study of risks of socio-natural origin, risk management and its destructive or modifying effects and the impact on the natural environment. I study complex phenomena in which human groups are participants and detonators of the phenomena that affect the normal or daily functioning of society and natural systems. So, in my research, I focus on the Mapping of hazards, susceptibility and the risk associated with socio-natural phenomena.
On the other hand, I have tried to guidance more
often the Integrated management of
landscape and territorial planning at the local level, convinced that the
holistic approach is always more valuable and complete than the partial
approaches to reality. The big national problems can be solved from the
solution or response to the big local problems.
