gci@uaslp.mxI have a Bachelor degree in Veterinary Medicine (Universidad Veracruzana), I've always been interested in mexican wildlife, my B.Vet.Med. thesis was on internal parasites of spider monkeys in captivity at Veracruz Zoo; after a year working at Veracruz Zoo, did my Master degree in Wild Animal Health at the Royal Veterinary College and Institute of Zoology in London, my research summer project was to identify a protozoa in skin lesions in palmate newts in Larzac southern France; finally, I got my PhD with another monkey-based project, to assess the effect of habitat use and sociality over the internal parasites of mantled howler monkey and black howler monkey in a shared habitat in their simpatry area in Tabasco state. Nowadays, I'm full time lecturer at the bachelor program of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics at Facultad de Agronomía y Veterinaria UASLP.
