D. from the Autonomous Metropolitan University in México, is currently interested in environmental bioprocess engineering, particularly in remediation of toxic compunds in hydrocarbon-polluted water bodies and marginal zones. Food sovereingty Manuel´s work is focus in transdiciplinar approach: Human rights and Biotechnology. He works for Mexican National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) at Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí. Professor in Human Rights Master of UASLP and Pro Human Biolaw by European Commission/Erasmus. His scientific production can be summarized as follows: 1 Patent, 46 Articles in journals indexed in JCR, 9 Book chapters, 12 Articles in popular magazines, 78 Presentations at national and international conferences and seminars. 6 projects financed directed. 22 students, undergraduate and postgraduate, directed.He has been a member of the National System of Researchers since 2012, currently at level 1 (2019-2022). Honorary member of the State System of Researchers of Quintana Roo (2013). He was honorable mention of the Alfredo Sánchez Marroquín Award for the best doctoral theses in Biotechnology by the Mexican Society of Biotechnology and Bioengineering (SMBB) (2013). Medal of university merit by the UAM in Master's (2007) and doctorate (2012). He has been a member of the SMBB since 2007, a numerary since 2017 and of the Veracruzana Academy of Sciences (2020).
