gci@uaslp.mxI studied Dentistry (1997-2003) at the University of San Luis Potosí, México and the Master of Dental Sciences with Specialty in Pediatric Dentistry (2003-2006) at the University of Nuevo León, México. Subsequently, I completed a 3-month residency in the Stomatology Department of the “Hospital Infantil de México Federico Gómez" and carried out the Doctorate in Education at the “Universidad Abierta” (2012-2014).
I joined the Stomatology Faculty at
the University of San Luis Potosí, México as Full Time Research Professor in march
2012. I am a professor in the Postgraduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry, in
the Postgraduate Program of Orthodontics and Dentomaxillofacial Orthopedics and
in the Posgraduate Program in Aesthetic, Cosmetic, Restorative and Implant
Dentistry of the Faculty of Stomatology of the UASLP. I have made academic
stays in the Specialty of Pediatric Dentistry of the UACJ, México, (2015, 2016
and 2018) and in the Master of Dental Sciences in the Pediatric Dentistry Area
of the UANL, México (2015).
My academic interest is in
studying subjects related to Pediatric Dentistry and the oral cavity
microorganisms as well as their interactions with removable orthodontic
appliances and their disinfection mechanisms. My main objective is to generate
information that demonstrates the importance of creating clinical protocols for
the management and care of removable orthodontic appliances that can influence
the prevention of infections or diseases caused by microorganisms with high
pathogenic potential and also, I have worked on topics related to cephalometry
and facial biotypes.
