My name is José Arturo Garrocho Rangel, 58 years old, married with Margarita Cortés Escalante (also Dentist), and a daughter (Ilse Margarita, 27). I was born in San Luis Potosí, SLP (Mexico) in April 1961. I attended undergraduate School of Dentistry at the University of San Luis Potosi (UASLP, 1977-82), the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry (UNAM, 1983-85), the Master of Clinical Investigation at the Faculty of Medicine (UASLP, 2005-07), and a Ph.D. in Sciences of Material Engineering (UASLP, 2009-2013). I practiced the clinical pediatric dentistry both privately and at the university clinics from 1986 up to 2011. Since 2018 I serve as a Full-Time Professor, Lecturer, and Researcher in the undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs (Pediatric Dentistry and Periodontics) at the Faculty of Dentistry (UASLP), exclusively dedicated to teaching, clinical research, thesis support/advice, student counseling, and scientific article publication. I am a member of the Academic Boards in the postgraduate programs in Pediatric Dentistry and Periodontics; member of the Faculty Technical Advisory Council, and the Faculty Research Ethics Committee. Since 2015 I belong to the Mexican Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (The National System of Researchers) level I, with more than 70 published articles. I am a member of the Sociedad Nacional de Investigadores en Odontología (National Society of Dentistry Researchers) since November 2018.
