gci@uaslp.mxHe received the B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering from
the University of San Luis Potosí in 2000, and the M.Sc.
degree, and Ph.D. degrees in Power Electronics from the National
Center of Research and Technological Development (CENIDET), Cuernavaca,
México, in 2002 and 2008, respectively.
Since 2010, he has been with the Coordinación Académica Región Altiplano
(COARA) of the University of San Luis Potosí. His research interests include
CD-CD power converters for photovoltaic applications and fault detection and
isolation on CD-AC and CD-CD power converters. He is currently developing
a new approach for the generation of the reference voltage in tracking systems
of the maximum power point for photovoltaic systems. Another research
topic, currently in process, consists in modeling the losses in CD-CD
converters that allow to design better controllers in photovoltaic
systems. He is a member of the Academic Group "Technologies Applied
to Renewable Energy Systems" where he collaborates with other researchers
in the area of renewable energies.
His work has been published in different journals included in the
Journal Citation Reports (JCR) with different levels of impact factor.
