His research focuses on reading and public and school libraries, present and in the past. The line of research on reading includes vulnerable groups, women, students, reading habit, reading skills, among others. In the case of public and school libraries, it is questioned why they have not achieved acceptance among the population and their action is reduced only to lending books and technological resources, it is necessary to modify the perception so that they occupy the central place in the socio-cultural aspect of the population; without libraries, information resources and information skills, it will be difficult for society to act. Public and school libraries play a very important role in strengthening the education and culture of a society.
In teaching, subjects in
the area of research methodology at the undergraduate and postgraduate level
stands out, where students learn the basic aspects to plan and develop
research. It also teaches subjects on written and bibliographical culture to
discover how the world of books and reading has developed. Finally, another
subject is bibliography, where the importance of carrying out the control of
editorial production is shown to know who publishes and on what public, in
addition to the importance of the timely registration of each document for easy
location.
