He is a Research Professor in the Faculty of Sciences; his field of expertise is the integrative neurophysiology and biological rhythms. He is currently an active professor of the bachelor’s in biology and Professor at the Postgraduate in Basic Biomedical Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine. His research focuses on discerning the mechanisms of hypothalamic integration that favors the appearance of chronic-degenerative diseases caused by the alteration of biological rhythms. It has a total of 43 articles in peer-reviewed international journals and 7 book chapters. He has participated in 62 National and 54 International Congresses and is a regular member of the Sociedad Latinoamericana de Ritmos Biológicos, Society for Neuroscience, Sociedad Mexicana de Ciencias Fisiológicas and Society for Biological rhythms.
