He is currently an active professor of the bachelor’s in biology and a Professor at the Postgraduate in Basic Biomedical Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences of the school of science. His research focuses on discerning the mechanisms of hypothalamic integration that favor the appearance of chronic-degenerative diseases caused by alteration of biological rhythms. He has 49 articles in peer-reviewed international journals and 7 book chapters. He has participated in 71 National and 68 International Congresses and is a regular member of the Sociedad Latinoamericana de Ritmos Biológicos, Society for Neuroscience, Sociedad Mexicana de Ciencias Fisiológicas and Society for Biological rhythms.
