Our research group has been dedicated to environmental remediation for many years through the use of microorganisms native to sites contaminated with different agents such as: heavy metals, hydrocarbons, pesticides, herbicides; We also work with the degradation of plastic polymers through the use of proteins such as enzymes, obtained from the stress to which said microorganisms were subjected. Currently, a database of the use of different and very varied biomasses from agroindustrial waste with the capacity to bioremediate sites contaminated with toxic agents is being worked on and put together.
