I study the relationships between geography and history, through cartography and the study of landscape, particularly focused on the New Spain period; derived from the foregoing, I am interested in the subject of geographical ideas at the time of the discovery and conquest of the New World. This history of geographical ideas is developed through the study of chronicles and texts edited by cosmographers, geographers, evangelizers, travelers, who in turn are directly linked to issues such as colonization, migration, roads, diseases, perception of the geographical environment, etc. .
