Medical Doctor (UASLP) with a PhD in Physiology (UASLP) and a postdoctoral degree in Renal Physiology (University of Iowa, USA) that under an integrative vision of physiology works experimentally to elucidate and understand the physical and neurohumoral mechanisms involved in the regulation of extracellular fluid volume and blood pressure in the short and long term using tools that range from molecular biology, through cell biology to whole animal. I manage a laboratory with experience in developing research projects in integrative physiology involving complex experimental designs with cells and/or tissues and/or animals (repeated measurements, factorials, etc.), advanced analytical techniques (laser-Doppler flowmetry, capillary electrophoresis, fluorescence, etc.) and data analysis using multivariate statistics (multiple regression and correlation, principal component analysis, logistic regression, multivariate variance analysis, discriminant analysis, etc.). My areas of greatest experience in pre and postgraduate research and teaching are renal physiology, cardiovascular physiology, respiratory physiology, endocrine physiology and neurophysiology, but I am open to participate in the design, execution, analysis and publication of any research project of uni or multidisciplinary nature.
