Nancy Visairo received a graduate degree in Electronic Engineering from the Technologic Institute of Oaxaca, México in 1997. She received the M. S. and Ph. D degrees specialized in Automatic Control from the National Center of Research and Technological Development, Cuernavaca, Mexico in 1999 and 2004, respectively. Since 2005 she is working as a Research Professor at the Center for Research and Graduate Studies of the Faculty of Engineering of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosi. She was Academic Coordinator of the graduate programs in Electrical Engineering at 2008 and in Power Systems at 2015. The Power System Program is in collaboration with the company Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories of Mexico. She is co-authored of more than 50 scientific articles pondering the participation of students from 2005. She is a member of the National Research System at Level 1. Among her topics of interest are automatic control schemes for power electronics systems applied to power quality, electric vehicles and alternative energy. She is also interested at fault diagnosis topics to battery energy storage systems. During 2016 Dr. Visairo worked at SEL Mexico as a research specialist level V.
