Research in my laboratory is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms and physiological functions of ion channels, with emphasis on the voltage-gated proton channel Hv1 and potassium channels of the KCNQ family. I use a combination of electrophysiology, site-directed mutagenesis and spectroscopic techniques.
