Research Professor of the Natural Resources Section at Desert Areas Research Institute. My research work focuses on two main areas: 1) Management and conservation of agrobiodiversity, with special emphasis on local knowledge for in situ management of landraces; and 2) Potential of the adequate use of organic fertilizers in soil quality, phytopathogens control and plant physiology. I am interested in producing experiences and knowledge that demonstrates the relevance of the management of landraces and the proper use of organic matter to achieve resilient production systems, based on the interactions that support the key functions, structure and processes of the agroecosystems.
