My research is focused on the health area. I develop the design, synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of new organic substances with possible biological activity. I am dedicated to the derivatization of established drugs families, such as fluoroquinolones triazoles, tetrazoles, benzofuroxanes, quinoxaline oxides, and benzimidazoles, and combined between them. In addition to generating hybrids between them, there is a considerable improvement in biological activity. Also, different substituents have been introduced in these pharmacophores to determine their impact on biological activity. It has been performed molecular docking and quantitative structure-activity relationship studies. Tests have been carried out against strains of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, fungi and cervical-uterine cancer cell lines to determine efficiency in antimicrobial, antifungal and anticancer activity.
