Chemist pharmacobiologist, with a Master’s degree in Biopharmacy, diploma in Hospital Pharmacy, and a PhD in Basic Biomedical Research with a specialty in Toxicology. 37 years of seniority as full-time Professor-Researcher.  Head of the Gender, Health, and Environment Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí.

Extensive experience in environmental analytical chemistry, development, standardization and validation of chromatographic methods, to quantify toxic substances in environmental and biological matrices and drugs in biological fluids and therapeutic formulations. 

 Expertise in health risk assessment of exposure to environmental contaminants, mainly: pesticides, residues from electrical and electronic devices (flame retardants), and phthalates. Focusing on vulnerable populations, such as mother-child dyads, children, women of reproductive age, and indigenous communities.

 Expertise in the monitoring of drugs with a narrow therapeutic index, evaluation of adherence to treatment, and exposure to environmental contaminants as determinants of therapeutic failure. 

 Experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of selective intervention programs.
