My professional degree is in Educational Sciences Specialized in
Chemistry and Biology. I have a Master in Science and Food Technology. Both, my
undergraduate and master degrees were obtained in the Autonomous University of
Tamaulipas. During my master degree, I studied the biotechnological production
of the the enzime microbial transglutaminasa, aiming to optimize the
operational condition for the production, in culture media made using sugar
cane molasses and glycerol as carbon sources. Afterwards I obtained the
Phylosophy doctor degree in Chemical Engineering by the University of Vigo.
During the doctorate, I studied the lactic acid and biosurfactant production
using culture media made with grape marc from wine industry. Nowadays, my
research interests are focused to the development of strategies for the
revalorization of raw materias, byproducts and residues from the agroalimentary
sector, aiming hte production of value added products, by biotechnological
tools
