In the last fifteen years I have dedicated myself to the study of the civic discourse of the 19th century as part of building processes of national identity.

I have worked also on topics of power, elections, war and conflicts during the War or Reform, the French Interventions and the Second Mexican Empire.

I have written biographies, two about women involved in politics and also dedicated to write fiction literature and poetry; the third biography is dedicated to reconstruct the life of a Mexican politician who occupy high positions in government administration in the mid-twentieth century. The importance of these academic works relies in the fact that the three subjects under study were political and intellectual actors who trascended the local sphere in which they were born.
