  1. PhD Degree in Natural Resources
    Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León
  2. Master's Degree in Forest Sciences
    Colegio de Posgraduados
  3. Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy
    Universidad Autónoma de Chapingo

I studied BSc. Agronomy – Crop Protection at Universidad Autónoma Chapingo (Mexico). Forest Science attracted my research interest, particularly to Forest Protection due to my academic formation. So, my thesis’ title was “Biological effectiveness in laboratory of Fipronil against Reticulitermes coayacanensis Méndez (Isóptera:Rhinotermitidae) – in Spanish”. After that, I had the opportunity of working in some research projects related to probe some new chemical compounds for controlling forest pests. Therefore, my interest on forest protection, inspired me to explore land use change and forest degradation as research topics. So, I decided to pursue my Master’s degree in the Colegio de Postgraduados (Mexico), and wrote a thesis on “Land use change effects on surface flow – In Spanish”. After graduation, I had the opportunity to collaborate in new research projects focused on land use mapping. Finally, I studied my PhD degree at the Faculty of Forest Sciences in the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (Mexico), and wrote the thesis “Modeling deforestation using geomatics techniques in a portion of the North Central Region of Mexico – in Spanish”. Currently, my research interests are related to Natural Resources Conservation, Management, and Assessment.
