Research Center of Postgraduate Studies, Accounting and Administration Faculty.
Her research interests are focused on corporate governance and family firms,
gender studies, financial performance and corporate social responsibility. She got postdoctorate studies at Bowling Green State University, Ohio, USA. Her
doctorate is on accounting and auditing at Universidad de Cantabria, Santander,
Spain. She currently is member of the National Researching System (Level 1) and
active member of the Mexican Institute of Executives in Finance and IFERA
network. She has obtained several international and national grants for her
research. First place on the International IMEF-EY international grant research
on Corporate Finance researching and highly commended project in 2016. First
place on the Adalberto Viesca Sada grant that promotes the Latin American
Family Business Research (2015, 2016 and 2017). Highly commended recognition by
Robin Cosgrove Prize and Emerald/CLADEA on 2015. She has been invited professor
at Bowling Green State University (Finance Department), USA and University of
Liverpool, UK. Dr. Briano has published about 30 research papers on
international indexed journals and she actively participate on several
arbitration committees of international journals such as Emerging Markets
Review, Corporate Governance: An International Review,
Estudios Gerenciales, Contaduría y Administración y Cuadernos de
Administración.
